Frequently asked questions
An LPC-Associate is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate, meaning we have completed a master’s degree in counseling, completed a practicum and internship to gain 280 direct clinical hours, and are working under the supervision of an experienced, fully licensed LPC-S (Supervisor) to gain the required 3,000 clinical hours for full licensure.
We think so!
High-Quality Care: LPC-Associates have extensive education and training, bringing fresh research, knowledge and evidence-based approaches to their work.
Supervision Support: Clients benefit from an additional layer of expertise, as LPC-Associates receive regular supervision from a seasoned professional. Both Meredith and Bailey's supervisors hold PhD level degrees with over twenty years in the field!
Potentially Lower Costs: Many LPC-Associates offer therapy at a reduced rate compared to fully licensed therapists, making quality mental health care more accessible.
Passion and Dedication: LPC-Associates are deeply committed to their clients’ growth and well-being as they establish their careers in the field.
Working with an LPC-Associates can be a great opportunity to receive effective, compassionate therapy at an affordable rate while benefiting from the combined insight of both the associate and their supervisor.
